Nut House Countryside Pecan Farm 14 ac San Marcos

For a perfect girls weekend grab some wine & groceries for this cute pecan grove get-away Positive: Property is gorgeous! There is a comfy, old-timey atmosphere in the home. Everyone thought the Nut House was adorable- and set up to accommodate our group well. Our friend group was able to hang out and watch television and just relax in the living room catching up with each other! The pecan display inside was a nice decorative touch. Negative: Using the soap dispenser in the restrooms- I just couldn't get the soap out and hadn't thought to bring my own hand soap. It was a little removed from town, if you wanted to grab food we couldn't find a ton of options close by.

Great location! Traveled with group of friends. Appreciated the space between bedrooms as some opted for an earlier bedtime. Bummed it rained the first night; was looking forward to some porch time (lots of room for outdoor lounging). Host was very prompt in communications; no bad things to say.

We communicated once with the host and he was very cordial and interested in my question. I was very impressed with the property as well as its location a great place to stay and I will request it next time. I’m in the area.

Check in was quick and painless. The property was beautiful. If traveling with children.. they have games available. Limited/No plastic plates and cups so bring your own. The house was so clean and cozy and quiet. There is a basketball goal but the ball was flat (no biggie). It was close to all the things but far enough to feel country and secluded. Check out was easy and that is so appreciated. Bring some extra paper towels, foil and ziplocks/tupperware. The details in the home furnishing was top notch and beautiful. If you are a light sleeper, consider that the airport is close by. The beds are comfy and clean. Bathrooms are stocked. Lots of outdoor seating to visit and relax. Kids loved collecting pecans and sitting in the hammocks. Would stay again!!
